FVU UNIT FUNCTION
The FVU series unit is used to fuel viscosity and pressure adjustment for ship engines.
FVU UNIT STRUCTURE
The FVU unit is composed of 3-way changeover valve, suction strainers, feeder pumps, automatic filter with bypass filter, flowmeter, degassing barrel, booster pumps, fuel heaters and viscosity control system, etc.
FVU UNIT PRINCIPLE
The fuel in the daily fuel tank in ship pass through the 3-way changeover valve, the suction strainers , feeder pumps, automatic filter with bypass filter , flowmeter, degassing barrel, then enters the booster pumps, fuel heaters for heating, and then the fuel enters Viscosity control system. When the fuel viscosity does not meet the set value, the viscometer sends a signal to adjust the opening value of the steam valve, control the amount of steam entering the heater, and increase or decrease the temperature of the heater oil to ensure that the system outlet fuel viscosity meets the requirements. Finally, the fuel that meets the requirements enters the diesel engine, and through the fuel injection pump and pressure regulating valve, the excess fuel returns to the degassing cylinder or daily oil tank. Even if the diesel engine is not working, the FVU unit can still achieve fuel preheating and rapid switching between heavy oil and light oil.

Simple operation
The FVU unit adopts the control mode of PLC with text display. After the system sets the parameters, the unit automatically adjusts the fuel viscosity or temperature to display the unit in real time. It display all the parameters of each state and the automatic detection unit alarms. The alarms include delivery pump, circulating pump forced load alarm, filter alarm, pressure alarm, temperature alarm, viscosity alarm, etc.

The FVU unit is complying with the international standard and related requirements of international rules, and approved by the classification society including CCS, LR, ABS, GL and KR, etc.
